A homeowner’s story
She sold her house and stayed in her home.
One homeowner was facing both the loss of her house and uncertainty about where she would live. A specialized attorney helped reverse a tax foreclosure, and she regained ownership of the property.
I then bought her home. She received approximately $70,000 from the sale, and we agreed that she would remain in the home as a tenant.
She used part of those proceeds to prepay a year’s rent, leaving approximately $50,000. She had money available and could continue living in the home she knew.
The attorney handled the legal work. My role was the purchase and the tenancy arrangement that followed.
This was an arrangement for her circumstances. Selling and remaining as a tenant is not available in every situation.
